McMenamin is now seeking to be Ward 7 alderman, and he seems to have taken steps in the right direction. He orchestrated a creative campaign announcement, drawing dozens of supporters to the old Kmart building along MacArthur, where he spoke a bit, then handed out work gloves and had dozens of people spend some time doing a cleanup. McMenamin didn’t get as much coverage of that as he might, but he’s also already done a round of media interviews.
