Ward 7 is a large area encompassing over 11,000 southwest side City residents spanning from Washington Park on the north to Sherwood subdivision, NE Westchester subdivision, and Seven Pines Apartments on the South. Ward 7 encircles Leland Grove and Jerome. It includes Country Club Estates, a large portion of Colony West, Montvale, Christ the King, Butler School, Franklin School, Sandburg School, some of the “Outer Park” neighborhoods, and a small portion of Koke Mill west of Route 4 off Greenbriar Drive. It stretches from the MacArthur Boulevard corridor on the east side to Route 4 and White Oaks Mall on the west side.
Ward 7 includes the following precincts: 4, 5, 28, 31, 49, 52, 54, 55, 86, 98, 100
